As being a Child Development tutor, I have gained new knowledge and skills that will be beneficial for me in the future. Both my listening and communication skills have improved over the past few years because of my sessions with the tutees.

Some students who come into for tutoring may feel nervous about the Tutoring Center, it is important to make the tutees feel comfortable and welcome.

In order to do this, I ask his or her thoughts and opinions of the class, that encourage effective communication from both the tutee and me. When a new student comes in for tutoring, I introduce myself and then ask essay on educational goals or her name.
